Since I was a kid I’ve LOVED “old things”. My first job at 15 was working weekends at the concession stand at a huge flea market in Houston so I could have money to go “antiquing”. I still have the very first thing I bought an 1890s tin of aspirin, including the aspirin! Scouring weekend estate sales, junk shops, thrift stores and even occasionally diving into a ravine is an exciting “treasure hunt” for me. And bringing these old, forgotten things to life in art brings me joy!
I’ve always been an artist, and maker. In 2012 I began making things out of my “treasures” which has become passion of mine. Creating them is often a long, but fun journey for me.
Each of my creations are truly one-of-a-kind art. Each one has its own story to tell and hidden inside is a tiny bit of history – and magic!
