She saw it coming, the seemingly innocuous little bird circling her head, carrying the weight of sorrow. It circled her head, a constant reminder of pain she couldn’t let go of. Slowly, it began to build a nest in her hair, weaving grief into her thoughts, tangling her mind in its branches. But she quickly realized she wasn’t powerless and began to pluck its twigs from her hair, one by one. She found strength in defiance, in the simple act of saying, “Not here.” As the little bird flew away, she realized letting go wasn’t easy, but in its place, she found something new—hope and the freedom to move forward.
INGREDIENTS
Antique clock box, thrift store bust that’s been remade with clay and paint. Antique square nails, handmade clay nest , estate bracelet, lots of paint, stain & clay along with bits of this and that.
Let this piece be a reminder to let go of our sorrows so they won’t find a permanent home in our heart & mind.
Saying: You cannot prevent the birds of sorrow from flying over your head. But you can prevent them from building nests in your hair.
