Did you ever just want to pack it all in? Well, this spirited little gal decided to run away from it all! So, she hit the road in her makeshift ride, a Heineken Holland shoe on a vintage skate, pulling a trailer with her trusty dog, mischievous cat, and a few of her favorite things, and set her sights on the most exciting destination she’d ever heard about—Las Vegas!
With the sun at her back and a smile on her face, she’s waving good-bye to her worries and heading off on her Great Escape!
INGREDIENTS
This cute little girl began as a humble half doll, naked and without hair. She had a full makeover with clay, gesso, and paint. The whole piece is perched on a cloud-shaped shelf, painted black with the background covered with pieces of a very old children’s puzzle of the United States that’s been sealed in several coats of resin to preserve it. The “sun” mirror was painted and aged for character. Her little suitcase was created from a tiny Altoid tin, clay & paint. The final touch is a sign made from a rhinestone shoe embellishment saying: “The Great Escape.”
