????August News from the Studio ????

Hellllooo friend,

August began with a THUD! Yesterday I got word from the gallery in Los Angeles, La Luz de Jesus, that my art arrived damaged from shipping and couldn't be shown. WOW. Talk about heartbreak! This is a HUGE very well known gallery that celebs and set decorators attend. And this show is a HUGE annual show that thousands apply to. So just to get accepted is a big honor, but then to find out my piece was damaged - ouch! The good news is I'm sure once I get him home I can repair him. But geez. Next year if I get in I may very well fly or drive my work out there!

Moving onward! I'm also a Spotlight artist for August and September at Platte Collections Gallery inside Platte Furniture here in Colorado Springs. Tonight is the opening and it should be fun as always! I'm needing a bit of levity right now.

Besides having my work at Platte Gallery, I'll be part of a fun group show with about nine other artists at NKollectiv Gallery, called "Art from Parts." The opening reception is September 12th from 4-8pm, and there's an artist talk on Sunday, September 27th from 2-4pm. Hope to see you there!
